I hadn't considered it in light of the remaking history and truth, yet it's so clear as one looks at the process and the objectives. How very Arendtian -- nearly a textbook case. The obsessively power hungry couldn't stop at remaking the physical world, but also had to reassemble history and how people saw truth the world. What a nightmare we are waking up from -- the vastness of our self-delusion and depravity will be the object of great condemnation by our children.
